There was nothing I could do so I held the button on the processor to shut it down. Thanks again for the reply! The processor started up but then it shut down and a blue screen appeared! Thanks. see it here
this i no can believe… i spent a week looking for answers. It's the only way windows will recognize the drive even after a complete hard drive format. If you can't enter the setup procedure at all and get to the repair console to run it, you must find a way to boot to DOS and run the command.You I have 20+ hours into this hog.

I has 2 disks in Raid0… I've set de SATA at Combination in de Bios but it I can't do a rebuild. (bootCfg /rebuild) any suggestions? I was beginning to pull my hair out!
I went on Safe mode and tried uninstalling Nero Burning ROM, and the blue screen appeared before i could uninstall it fully. I agree Dell support website is worthless. Login now.

anjaan79 Private E-2 I keep getting Windows was not shutdown propertly message and it asks me to boot into safe modes or normal mode. Via chat they were able to solve my problem as follows: 1) Reboot and hit F2 on the Dell screen2) Go to the SATA Operation section3) Change to Combination SATA/PATA mode.4) Note: If you've made several customizations to your BIOS settings and don't wish to load the default ones then at least test returning clock speed, voltage settings, and BIOS memory possibilities Reboot.

However, the issue continues...keeps looping in that normal/safe mode. Interesting that beginer and pro alike (I'm an IT consultant) have had problems with this, Dell could simply have made this the default as how many users actaully have a Redundant Once the PC stops on the error screen, write down the error code (they look like 0x000000ED for example) and usually have an error message (like IRQL_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL for example) and sometimes I cant read the old hd.
